Here are the sizes. Why are the 6.5 ft awning more expensive than the 8 ft awning?

i have been wondering about how these operate. does the material roll up mechanically or do you have to manually roll it up?

manual. but very easy. not sure if a disabled person could do it, cuz of having to reach up to rack/trailer height to unzip and un-snap the cover/lashings, but then again, any awning may present that problem, if it doesn't use a fully-auto crank system


these should be the same as camping lab awnings. if so, they are supported by aluminum poles and roll as a unit from the leading edge to the mounted edge(rack side) and then into a heavy vinyl case.

If it is the same, its very doable by one person in about a minute. and maybe one more minute to stake it if needed. (i've never had to)

yeah, these are the same as the camping lab awning, missed that link before posting above.

the poles that support the bow and stern of the awning swing from the mounting channel.

the uprights swing much the same way from the aluminum channel on the "port" side/leading edge of the awning.

My awning is light, durable, good looking, and creates a large area that would/possibly will be made more usable by adding a "wall" to the front and rear edges.

No, I am not too lazy! DimensionS is plural, denoting more than one, therefore I am asking for more than one number.

2500MM only tells me one side. How wide are they and how far do they pull out? Is the 2500mm the width? Are they square? I don't know because, as usual, ARBs website is worthless!
