Warn's press release from mid-November of 2007, just weeks before the fecal matter began to hit the recession wind generator.

Absolute monster. Would love to see one head to head against the Oasis (no luck though, searched all over the net).

My bet, at lower pressures the VTC would win due to better free flow. At higher pressures (>100 psi), the Oasis XD4000 would have the advantage due to the forced air cooling and oil lubed York.

In compressors that are oil lubricated, can full synthetic oil be used ? Is there a difference between compressor oil & motor oil ? If so, why can't it be used ? It seems that full synthetic would certainly flow better at low temps right ?

Yes. I have a 60 gallon stationary Ingersoll Rand compressor (private labelled for Matco), and I'm running Amsoil full synthetic in it. As I recall, Amsoil has some good info on their site about compressor oil. If you are going to hard mount your compressor, figure out the mount before you buy the compressor, because oil bath compressors don't like to be mounted on their sides.
