Are the AT trailers worth it?

Ohhh SEMA that must be rough, sad thing is I wasn't even invited :(. I don't think I realized you had a 60, did you sell it or is it hangin out there for a while? I still have Hannibal and Eezi Awn on my list as replacements. I even thought about the non folding units as well but I'm sure more floor space comes out of the folding design when compared to the non folder (maggolia).

Ok well this will be a reality soon enough, contracts pending of course. Had a few questions on the RTT's that are supplied (figure I'll get a newer bigger unit while I'm at it). How big is the family sized unit (I can read the dimensions) just wanted some real life user feedback. I might be getting another dog and perhaps a baby person. But again contracts pending.....jk Are there other sources the tents could come from which would promote a more cost effective approach? Thinking about the logistics it might be easier to have AT install it and ship it ready to go.

Our Chaser has the Eezi Awn 1800 on it and it has plenty of room for me, my wife and our 10 year old daughter. Think of it as the size of a king bed, 70"x96" I believe. If you're short you can sleep the short way and have tons of shoulder room. I'm 6'2" so that is harder for me. I prefer to sleep the long way. With 3 people its great. If I had another child I might get the Family Tent. And our dog sleeps in the bed of the truck so he takes up no room.

Good to know I was going over the dimensions in my mine the EA 1800 is 70x96 vs my Hannibal 1.2M @ 48x96. Sheesh thats roughly 14 square ft extra. I'm 5'8" and my wife is 5'7" the pooch is joined at the hip (the Vizsla breed are literally like Velcro). That really is a ton of roof. Guess I'll have to sell the Hannibal.

1600 to 2000 for a family with one or two small kids are all good sizes.

The Maggiolinas are great tents but they are not family tents, even the bigger ones will not sleep more than 2 comfortably.

BTW the 60 is heading west to be outfitted with a 12HT and a WVO kit, it will be on it's way to South America next year on an expedition promoting the use of alternative energy sources.

Keep an eye out for lostworldexpedition.com

the website will be up soon!

Well stage 1 of acquiring a AT trailer is in effect. Apparently next July I will be a dad. :) Now I have to work on getting some damn contracts to pay for the trailer.
