Are you ready for a MAN

That's pretty rare in the USA and it looks to be in very good condition. I couldn't figure out where it was located. Anyone else see that?

Where would you use it?

Where would you use it????

ANYWHERE YOU WANT!

There are some pretty impressive videos on youtube of those things in action.

Two examples from "goodwoodweirdo"s post in Fireside Chat on the 12th Abenteuer & Allrad Show - Europes largest Overland show.....

What is the highway speed of this beauty ?
A VERY nice camper could be made with something like this.

Felipe

Looked on craiglist, and couldn't find any 16,000lbs knukle booms, not mounted to a truck, but a couple of 12,000lb ones off the truck were $8 and $9,000, so if you even got that much for the boom, you'd have a pretty cheap truck.

leave the boom crane

I picture leaving the boom crane and placing a "small" camper behind a platform for your rock crawler of choice...just park the MAN and offload said vehicle to go exploring...kinda like having a small whaler on your yacht...

I gave a lot of thought to building a LWB Deuce (16ft bed) and installing a knuckleboom right behind the cab, so I could load/unload my camper. but in the end, I decided to just make some camper jacks that will allow me to drive out from underneath it.

This is perfect for my idea of a dual purpose RV/Houseboat!

Leave the boom, build the camper box on the back.

Then in the summers, find a small barge and plop the box right on it, instant houseboat :wings:

How much does that thing cost to drive, per mile? I would imagine my entire annual salary would go only to drive it 3/4 mile and then park it!

I can't imagine the cost of owning, maintaining, and driving one of these, and we're not even talking fuel costs here!
