Yes, I mind, your images demonstrate what a crappy photographer I am :)

I would love to more about this photo. How it was shot, what settings, tripod mounted?, etc...

LOL. We are all crappy at times.

No problem explaining this shot as actually I am not very happy with it as the sky really irks me and I can't seem to fix it.

This shot is an HDR from two images. I do not use HDR all the time (actually I only got it this past x-mas) because I prefer to shoot everything as best I can in camera, use filters if necessary, and do very little editing. However there are times where there is no possible way for the camera to capture what our eyes can see. This shot is from the Hoh Rainforest in Washington St. from my annual father son spring break road trip. This was on a leg from Seattle- up the Pacific Coast to Hoh - and back to Vancouver Washington in one day. My son and I quickly drove through this rainforest after seeing the Quinalt rainforest and before hitting Ruby Beach for sunset.

Okay enough back story- here are the details.

Hand held, two exposures blended in Photomatix, some post process work in Lightroom2 to make believable (I hate the HDR look commonly posted online), and final sharpening in Iphoto. Like I said- the sky really bugs me in this shot but I love the light in the foreground.

Aaron,
You definitely have an eye for the "Dramatic".

X2, really good stuff Aaron!

Trevor,
You have given yourself an excellent self-assignment, and you are off to a very good start. The iPhone and P&S definitely make you work for the images; but they also allow you to have a camera at all times. I will definitely be watching the photo-log.:ylsmoke:
Cheers Bri. I'm digging the challenge. Really, the hardest part is finding time to upload.

Here are a couple of my fav's from the last couple days.

I took this pic at sunrise in the Anza-Borrego Desert last December. You can barely make out the Salton Sea in the background. Many more in the link in my sig.
