Mamotof, Going towards Dante's view you take the dirt raod toward greenwater and take your first right and follow it as high as you can go, then on foot for another 1/2 mile. It's pretty much about a couple miles east of Dante's view.

Mamotof, The road up there leads to a saddle on top of the black mountain range. You don't need really high clearance, my friend made it up in his nissan pathfinder with no lift. Of coarse mine has a bit more clearnace than that. It's a beautiful spot we ended up there because Dante's peak road was closed because of heavy rains. At any rate, it turned out to be a great spot.

What really surprise me in Death Valley hay quickly when rain road can be flooded and i mean Flooded (in my memory thunder storm 2005 and damage to the Park road after ),:Wow1:
