What a difference a day makes.
You want to talk about cold. Within a 24 hour period we went from this yesterday, you'll notice there's frost actually forming on the shore ice itself,...
...to this today. A frozen lake and some huge piles of lake ice that built up a good 10-12 feet high,... in a day! I've never seen the ice build up that fast, and yeah, taking these was freaking freezing!

LOL Not me.
They make some great warm weather gear that you can always put on to stay warm. You can only take so much off to stay cool. I hate the heat.

I'm not faring much better over here in El Paso man...I was riding a horse all weekend and the lil lady was sweating like crazy with that winter coat in this low 70's weather out here!

This is how I spent my Thanksgiving...getting up at 0330, traveling to the Guadalupe Mountains NP and hiking up to the top of Guadalupe peak by myself...nice view from 8734 ft but its cold in that wind!! Great opportunity to put the new-to-me Olympus E-520 to use :bike_rider:
At the Salt Flats of West Texas where the Salt Wars occurred:
As the sun came up higher, there was an explosion of yellow light all over the desert....
These took some adjusting to tone down the brightness...I must have had the ISO too high to capture the light from earlier.

You must see the sky in the west...this was its actual color...no polarizer or anything...I spotted this as I passed around a rock formation and had to stop

An old g/f and I went on a trip to the Grand Canyon. These are from a trip down the Colorado river and exploring Antelope Canyon. I can't take credit for all of these, most all were done by my then g/f who actually knew what she was doing behind a camera
