Just got off the phone with Martin at AT and he told me that the prototype is being assembled now. They have addressed the aluminum bending and fitment issues and are in the process of being able to assemble!! If you are on the email list Mario will be sending pictures and information regarding the prototype and product very soon, as in the next week or so.

This has been mentioned in a few threads but not very widely discusses. Looking forward to seeing details of the prototype once they are released.

basically what I did on my custom one off camper?

I love your setup! What a great platform for a camper build. What kind of mileage are you getting? I know that the payload capacity is lower than most 1/2 tons, but should be enough to handle your build, any idea on total weight?

300lbs..my wife and I can take it on and off..its tough but not much heavier than fiberglass truck cap. and its an ecodiesel so Ive gotten 26-31mpg on highway..I usually average 22-24 in town driving...

I'm not sure if the FlipPac name is a registered trademark, but it is not an AT product. So AT's new camper shouldn't be called a FlipPac, I think. Or is AT designing it for FRP? Regardless, a quality competitor to the FRP FlipPac is a good thing

There was a thread a few months back called "redesigned flippac" that had mention of this as well, but then it just sort of faded away. It will be interesting to see what price range they plan on focusing in on. And it will be interesting to see what solution they choose to replace that torsion bar setup.

Mario told me that cost was going to be around the same price.
