We gassed up and headed up cottonwood road.

While cottonwood was a nice enough road, I found the power lines to take away for the experience for a large portion of the drive. This spot however, was absolutely beautiful.

After a long drive we ended up camping in Dixie National forest.

The next morning we ventured into Bryce Canyon. This was a place I was very much looking forward to checking out, and it did not disappoint (although I wasn't clear why they closed part of our hike!).

After Bryce, we headed to zion.

And happened to find “the best campsite in zion” according to the “expedition” tour folks who'd stopped here with clients. They couldn't believe we'd found it.

The next morning we went into Zion, and hiked angel's landing.

The walk was worth it. The view from lunch.

Then, we headed west. Sights set on Death Valley.

The following morning our party doubled in size. We headed to rhyolite.

After, we headed to Saline Valley. Not too many pictures were taken once we got on Saline. It was getting late and we really hauled the mail getting to camp.

We camped at warm springs. Beautiful sunrise the next morning. And a much needed soak.

We went up and over Steel Pass.

Although I could have done without getting rained on. We hiked a good portion up it. The start of it was quite easy to walk up – it was surprisingly hard-packed. It then got quite steep, and ever step forward was a half step back. Worth it, though.
