Aux switches

Where do ya'll have your aux switches installed in your Discoveries? I have three near my sunroof switch in a custom plastic housing. I'd like to install some more when I get aux lights but don't know where to put them.

There's a factory three-switch carrier that replaces the ashtray or the coin holder. It's for the D1 but is a direct fit in D2's. Expedition Exchange carries them.

How many more auxiliary switches do you need? Be careful or the interior will begin to resemble the flight engineer's station in a B-52.

Perfect! haha

I took the factory D2 6 switch bezel, cut it up and put a new faceplate on, then cut that for the switches. I also cut holes in the non-A/C roof panel.

You can use the binnacle switch blanks on the left of the steering wheel. You have to use a cruise control switch, but can use any of the covers, and wire them to a relay. EE carries everything you need for this option too.

Here's my rear work lamp wiring diagram, and install. Under that are the switches for the center and outer HID roof rack lights.

They're not wired yet, but plans as follows:
1. On board air
2. 120v inverter
3. rock lamps
4. roof lamps or aux.

Yep!

It would have been easy had the PO not ruined the friggin harness!
Its basically plug and play.
I did it to add ipod functionality via a BMW integration unit. You can kinda see it in the bottom right corner.
I finalized the d2 seat switches today too.
