Nice work. The 5/8" line may cause you some anxiety at the filling station, but it may be just fine.
I was thinking about putting something like this in our Dormobile:
It looks like it intercepts the filler hose. I can't decide if that is a good idea or not.
It is a 46 liter tank, which is about 12 US gallons: http://safari-equip.co.uk/index.php?page=76
It is definitely not as pretty as yours.
Won't the 109SW tank fit in your Dormobile? (Or you probably already have that!)

Well it is in and filled and no leaks so far.
The guy who welded it said he would make more if anyone wants one.
You can see the main tank vent line looping around and connecting with the brass y-fitting.
Bulkhead fitting.
Fuel line loops thru the sway-bar mount. I will build a plate to protect it before offroading.

We do have the 109 SW tank, but not the underseat tanks since it is an SW.
When we were in Death Valley we were starting to get worried about fuel, and we had two 5 gallon jerry cans. We were making choices about where to go based on fuel availability. They were out of gas at Panamint which made it even more interesting.
More fuel capacity has become more important.

How do you install that bulkhead fitting in the tank? There's a nut on the backside isn't there?

Yes, there is a nut, but I put the nut on the outside and put the fitting thru from the tank. AN bulkhead fitting(for racecar fuel cell) come with a nylon washer. I also added a oring to the inside.
I removed the fuel pump assy, and reached inside the opening, once the fitting was in place, I put a wrench on the fitting inside the tank and then installed the washer and nut in the outside. Having two people would have helped.

You gotta do something with that fuel hose however. That'll wear through in no time at all. I'm not really sure what you could even do to it... It needs some kind of plastic shielding on it, then zip-tie it to that metal bracket it's rubbing on. You can't have any relative motion.

I would still make a point of inspecting that line on a regular basis for the first little while. Vehicle vibration has a funny habit of making things touch where you wouldn't expect it.

At the very least, I'd put some split convoluted electrical sleeve over it.

Nice. If you get rid of your resonator you could add one to the other side.
Do you have a body lift? If not, with a 2 inch body lift you could probably get in the vicinty of another 2 gallons.

You could get a high volume electric pump (on the order of 10-20 gal per min) connceted to your rear tank to feed through a 3-way selector valve to two saddle tanks. Then you could just use MOD surplus tanks, or make a couple of tanks. Then another 3-way valve to switch to them when the rear tank is empty.

I can't use the Rover fuel tanks under the front seats, at least not easily. The battery is under the left seat, and the propane tanks for the stove are under the right seat. The easiest option is to do what Ron did and put a tank behind the rear quarter panel.
