Awful mpg ‘98 montero sport

Hey yall!
Curious about the community’s thoughts on mpg. Bought a 98 montero sport a couple months ago because a friend’s dad was selling their old family car. Had about 170k on it, reasonably well-maintained (although no records but guy seems on top of things). Did all the fluids/diferentials/full synth oil in the first week. Only had it a couple weeks when a local shop ran a lift/tire promo so I quickly pulled the trigger on that. Put about a 3in lift, upgraded to 32 Bfg ko2’s.

NOW. Never really got a good sense of the mileage, as the car was still so new to me. But now that i’m tracking it, seems like I’m getting about 10 in the city. Even with the modest lift and bigger tires, this seems pretty abysmal. Especially coming from a Toyota van that hovered in the high 20’s in the city.

Questions for yall: This is pretty low mpg for this rig, right? Other than sparkplugs, fuel injectors, air filter, what should i be looking at to potentially up this mileage?

Well, off to the gas station again!
Thanks in advance,
Nigel

Not uncommon to be 10 to 15mpg city, 16 to 19 mpg highway. My Gen 3 in the winter (below 30F) city driving short trips is sub 12.
