So I just got a new phone, because I thoroughly abused my last one to the point of failure. It had been dropped roughly 45,000 times, left in my Jeep during the Arizona summer, had water spilled on it a couple times, and has been accidentally set on fire for a short period of time. When I went to the Verizon store to get a new phone, I asked for the roughest, toughest, most resilient and rugged phone they have. The salesman without hesitation pointed to the Casio G'zOne. Check it out, it's pretty gnarley.

Yeah I actually recently got a new phone myself. I was looking at the Casio for a while, but my nerdy side of me took over and I ended up with the Voyager. I will try it for a week or so to see how "rugged" it is. I break phones like it's my job, so I may end up with the Casio.....

The G'zone is an awesome phone. I have had mine for about 4mo and have taken it on all of my campouts. It holds up great, just the other day I tripped walking down a trail, talking on it and it flew banged into a rock and landed open, as I walked upto it I was kicking myself for not getting the insurance, when I picked it up the screen was on and my friend was saying "hello, hello, you still there" this phone is very durable. I think you made a good choice.

When it comes to reception, I used to have a razr, and it sucked, I could never make a call. This one seems to have a much stronger signal indoors and out. and great battery life. One cool feature is that it will transmit your GPS location when you dial 911. I think the only complaint I have is that it is not a SAT phone, $$$ that would be nice.
