Back into a WJ

Took my son for a ride out to Montauk Point today. Great to have the awning and table setup. Perfect day to be on the beach!

I've got a 4x4 beach access fishing permit, which allows beach driving at 5 or 6 different locations on Long Island. I've explored most of them. Looking forward to some beach overnighters this summer!

Spent some time in the garage last night and installed upcountry rear coils. I wasn’t happy with the rear squat when loaded up. Now have a bit of a rake when unloaded, but much prefer this to the ass end sitting lower. Rewired my light bar with a better switch in a better location. Also had the front axle seals replaced yesterday

Agreed! Can’t believe the design is over 20 years old. Good looking WJ you had there, I’ve always been a fan of the Timberline wheels

Painted the pad on the top of the rear bumper and added a factory t-case skid plate

Drove the WJ up to Toronto and back with a Uhaul trailer. My idle was fluctuating a bit and had a check engine code coming on intermittently. Swapped out the TPS and new spark plugs all around. Running like a dream now
Also installed new headlights which was long overdue

Your WJ is so damn clean. Mine just had a huge leak and when I pulled the carpet even my inside floor boards are starting to rust . Whish found one as nice as yours. Keep up the post. Enjoying following along.
