Lightweight . . . this needs to be mentioned. This bad boy (Baja Rack Mule) is 27 lbs. That carbon steel is a miracle-wonder. I've got an Olympic Mountaineer Rack for my Jeep that weighs 45 lbs and it's only 24"x48" (which is smaller than the Baja Rack Mule). Brilliant.

A similarly sized Yakima Loadwarrior is also about $30-$50 more expensive. The Baja Rack is not only an excellent product, but extraordinarily competitive. They should raise their price.

What's the weight of the BajaRack Expedition Rack if you don't mind me asking?

About 65lbs. I see in your signature file that you have a DII, shoot me a PM for more details about a rack for the DII.

Got mine on my FJ cruiser not too long ago. It is much lighter than the ARB. I placed the entire rack up on the roof of my lift FJ and mounted it by my self, and im not a huge guy.
Super strong and a great price.

I love the ARB rack. It is stronger, holds more weight i believe, and heavier than the bajarack. The heaviest thing i envision having up there is gas, water, and or an extra spare. All of which the bajarack easily can support. It seems as though the ARB might be, dare i say it, too strong for what it does. Just my opinion on the two racks for the FJ, not 100% sure of the other applications.

We run the EXP on the FJ and it is wonderful! The time it takes to mount the RTT to the rack or take it off was cut in half compared to the ARB. The weight difference was noticeable as well. The ARB is seriously heavy-duty, you could probably set a bomb off on it, but you will pay for that in weight and convenience for sure. The Baja Rack is more than capable enough to carry everything you need without any issues...plus you can get the cool optional light bar to attach to the front!!

Here are some pics of ours from the ECD last weekend carrying our RTT, awning, 2 gas cans and 2 loads of firewood:
