Make sure they need replaced, every time I go to my shop they tell me that ball joint failure on the JK's is very often misdiagnosed. I wanted to replace mine with some other work I was getting done but they said that there is typically a little more play in JK's upper joints and replacing them is a waste of money.

Every year I take my Jeep to get safety inspected they say the lower ball joints need to be replaced.......never have had a tire wear funny in eight years and several sets of tires.

I can say with balljoints you dont want to cheap out. If you run duracrap units from autozone don't be surprised when they die prematurely. (went through 3 sets in less than 2 years) In the ballljoints defense I was running large un-balanced bias ply swampers) I switched over to MOOG units and they have been held up great!

I do like the looks of those poly performance units, and they aren't too outrageously priced. I also really really like that both joints are greaseable. Often times one joint does not have a zerk! I understand that many OEM components on vehicles now days are going to "maintenance free" or "lifetime lubricated" parts............however I still prefer greasable units.

My JKU has 55,000 miles on the original ball joints. And since I am replacing the front axles I wanted to replace the B-Joints at the same time.

Anyway I have seen the poly's on-line but have yet to find anyone who is using them....
Moog is my stand-by choice unles another manufacture gets better recomendations

I also have 50,000 on my stock JKU's stock ball joints. Every time I check them they are still tight. I just upgraded from the stock BFG's to some 285 70 17 Toyo mt's so we'll see what happens.

The Poly's just came out last month so there's probably not a lot of reviews just yet. Definetly a plus being servicable and all, now just have to get somebody to make servicable JK rubicon 44 front U-joints....that don't cost an arm and a leg..

I just had my stock ball joints replaced with the Poly Performance HD Synergy Ball Joints. Very happy with them!
