Hey Guys,
I just bought this Bamtam trailer this past weekend http://offcamber4wd.org/forum/index...ction=dlattach;topic=6034.0;attach=6944;image
Now, what to do with it? Rarely do these come up for sale here in the southeast so I jumped on it when I read the ad. The trailer has had some good rehab done to it-new floor, new tires, new bearings, added cross brace underneath, etc. I'm planning to repaint it to match my Discovery, but what would you guys do first? I have some cosmetic work to do before repainting, but overall it is in good shape, especially considering it's supposed age. It was advertised as a 1944, but how can you really tell? It still has the serial tag on the front panel, but is their a repository that categorizes these civilian trailers?
Has anyone had success with the "do-it-yourself" bedliner kits? I don't want to pay $300 to have the tub sprayed if I can do it myself somewhat similarly.
I plan to use this for camping, kayaking and potentially a couple of very long trips. I have one I'm working on for the future-Great Sand Dunes, CO. But that is a little off in the future, but I will be using this trailer.
Any advice or suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
