Only take as many nights as you have fuses, to isolate your 'phantom' draw. Actually, half as many nights, +1. Pull the fuses 2 at a time. Just don't get the values mixed up.

Instead of buying that, maybe buy an inductive amp clamp and track down the draw that way. They are cheaper and it would likely get used again someday.
What have you done so far to try and find the draw?

I never used a DC clampmeter. Are they sensitive enough to display typical parasite & standby loads ?

I always initially look for such loads with a voltmeter. Much safer than ampmeter for the initial track down of circuits drawing power when they should not.


I recently used one that plugs into the milivolt scale of the meter. It was very accurate.
The Mv reading would be equal to the miliamp load.
