How do you like the arb bumper? Looking to get a bumper for my 15' tacoma but not 100% sure what to go with yet. I like the cbi, pelfreybilt, and the arb. It's just so hard to make a decision haha.
I need to decide on deflators again too, I seem to have lost my stauns (may have been left in the jeep when I shipped it)
Every time I used the staun deflators the psi seemed to vary. They should have been convenient but I feel like I tweaked the pressure every time I aired down anyway. I initially set them at The arb ez deflator is in my Amazon cart right now with misc other items, I think I will give it a shot.
Overall I like the ARB. It has the upside of being a proven, reliable design that's readily available. The only downsides that I have discovered thus far are it's weight and that you have to cut a strip from the top of your OEM bumper in order to fill up some of the gap. I still haven't done that yet but it's on the list as it looks a bit unfinished at the moment.
Is it that heavy? For my truck, the ARB was one of the lightest options out there. Companies like Shrockworks had 200+ lb bumpers, while my ARB is like 80 ish.
I'll probably end up getting the arb and if I don't like it I'll switch to something else down the road. What else are you planning to do to your truck?
About how much has your OME 886's in the front settled/lowered since having them installed?
I can't verify weight as well. But I think the 175lb figure is the typical combined weight with a winch. This is why I went with the 700lb springs on my coil overs. I noticed a big difference going from 650 to 700lb springs. Much better.
Well dang if it's that bad I don't know if I want to go that route.I find the 886's with the ARB bumper (sans winch) to be a bit harsh... Like "hit a speed bump too fast and the entire front end will hop off the ground" harsh.
Hey brother, how are you liking the Prinsu rack? Did you ever have a chance to compare it to the FrontRunner?
