Beatit G18 Pro not jumping?

I’ve tried to use it twice on other people’s vehicles and both times it hasn’t worked. Both times involved batteries that were drained by either an inverter or leaving the lights on.
I’ve read online that these jump boxes with their smart chargers need to see a nominal charge in order to work. This has Something to do with checking reverse polarity etc. I don’t know or recall the exact Voltage of the batteries but it would have to be close to “dead”

The jump box works otherwise as far as charging phones and other devises etc etc. it just won’t jump an dead battery.

Thoughts?

Have you checked the voltage at the cable clamp outputs when you put it in “jump” mode, however that works on this particular unit?

I was reading the reviews on the beatit and someone mentioned you have to press a button on the side of the cables to activate. I know some of these units have a button that you press when you have a battery that is extremely low voltage (it bypasses the voltage check interlock)

I know one thing when a battery is completely dead, these small units won't jump it. I had 2 (not this brand) and they wouldn't jump my van battery after it died over the weekend. I then also tried a 27ah agm I keep around that I have previously used to jump cars, but it barely crank the engine over (no start) , when a battery is completely dead even car to car jumping won't work.
