Pat, if the carpet is glued to the floor of the cabinet, why not peel it off and then just slide in some gray compartment tiles? Foster has them for $5/each, and they're standard on most ambulances - I probably have over 100 SF of them in my compartments and on my shelves.
Similar to Raptor Liner, Al's Liner is a three part polyurethane DIY bedliner (made by Scorpion Liner) that you can tint any color you want with standard automotive paint pigments.
Unlike Herculiner that is solvent based rubbery paint, Al's Liner cures chemically and resists UV fading . ~$100 gallon

That probably is a superior product but the problem for Pat is the application. It has to be sprayed with a bulky gravity gun and access is most likely an issue when working inside some of his compartments.
http://www.alsliner.com/spray_techniques#rollerAl's Liner DIY Truck Bed Liner Kits can be applied with standard paint brushes and rollers so that you can apply Al's Liner just about anywhere. We recommend using a shed resistant brush to keep bristles from getting stuck in the material. For a set of brushes that are suited perfectly to Al's Liner projects, check out our Al's Liner Roller/Brush Kit on the accessories page.
Monstaliner and Duraback can both be rolled on. I am sure the former is UV stable and colourable, not sure about the latter.
Any update on how the raptor liner went? Looking forward to the process.
