Best old Jeep for Overland travel

Old Jeeps were made by Willys Motor Company. The best old Jeep for overland travel would be the Willys Wagon (1946-1965).

Or maybe you didn't mean "old";)

We have both and full size and a CJ. The Cherokee is great to travel in all the room we need and good off road capabilities , The CJ is a great back up vehicle you really cant pack allot in it and if you do it seems at ever is needed is at the bottom of the pile.

I have never own a Jeep but will in the next year or two. Which one do you guys think is the best old Jeep for overland travel. Mainly 99 and older. The reason being is that Im moving to Texas very soon and plan on driving through parts of Mexico some time. Any input?

I would go with an XJ ..............

Ok maybe not Willy's old, you see Im 23 so a 70s Jeep is old to me and a 50s year Jeep well I would just like to see one in person.:sombrero:

I'm just teasing of course;)

I think any Jeep 4x4 would do the job as long as it's in good mechanical condition.

You need to decide how much space you need first.
