I just bought some Michelin silicone blades, no frame, they look good and have worked better than the old frame style for me. I cannot speak to longevity, but its probably at a mimium equal to a "regular" blade.

Applying it prior to traveling in rain will significantly enhance your view out the windscreen. At highway speed I rarely need the wipers when using RainX. Just make sure you buff it in with a clean dry paper towel after applying so you don'y get annoying swirls. Also remember it does not last forever, I tend to reappply after a few days in the rain to get the best performance.

I used to use RainX religiously but stooped a few years back. I was having problems with Texas summer time bugs. Their juices would streak up my windshield to the point that it was hard to see out. Now I just use their blades. Maybe I'll try RainX again? It's pretty cool not to use you wipers.

RainX

I started using RainX when I had my LR 88, the wipers on that never did anything. I still use it on my 40 series for the same reason. Now I apply it to all my trucks whenever I think of it. Works well, even with snow/slush.

Got my wife some of those Valeo Ultimate blades from tirerack. Buy one get one free. It was like ~$20 I think. After a year, no chatter or streaking. And she's not easy on blades, either. I think I'm going to pick up a set if they still have the deal.

Oh, and rainx applicant works awesome.

I typically just use regular Napa blades.

RainX has a windshield washer fluid that works almost as well as the wipe on stuff. I'm lazy so I use it instead of the wipe on kind.

x2. I have had mine for almost a year and they work great. They are more expensive, but they claim to last five years. If they do, then they're cheaper than rubber replacements. Most auto parts stores now don't stock simple refills, they want to sell a whole blade everytime at a higher cost.

One advantage of the Silblade is that they leave a silicone coating on the windshield after a little use. This is the same effect as using RainX. Water beads and run up the windshield. No RainX required:wings:

SilBlades get my vote.
