yeah %100 so who is it ? a yeti employee or just over active fan boy ?

Probably yeti. Only say that because I've run across this same type of bs on a couple of forums I help mod. It's been all pro yeti and increased every year as more copy coolers come onto the market. IP addy's were texas based too. Guess there is lack of idiots buying $40 30 oz cups and $400 cooler bags

Just to be up front - This is my first post on this forum. Maybe she (AdventureGirl) is anti-RTIC, maybe she has a reason. She wasn’t asking for something free. She was asking for something in return for money she was charged whether it was a refund or a case of cups. I do own a yeti roadie and I love it. Although I purchased it when the cost was $199 it was still expensive. I’ve been in the market for a Soft Sided cooler and have been looking at yeti, rtic, AO, polar bear, orca. There are a lot of owners of all these brands out there and they all seem to be loyal to the brand they chose to purchase. I have been considering a RTIC Softpak 30 or the Yeti Hopper Flip 12 ($195 at Academy, still expensive) and no I don't work for them, so I have been looking around the net at reviews. I’ve watched a ton of video reviews on YouTube and although a lot of them have poor camera work if you look close you can see that a lot of the RTIC coolers have flaws/blemishes, downright poor quality control. And actually ship these to their customers. "Shame" Some RTIC fans don't care, some do. For me I think it will be too risky to mail order something for a little over $100 with this level of attention to detail that only has a 30 day warranty. You can also see that some do not have these issues. Risk it or Don't - it's up to you.

By the way - She's correct, RTIC does have an F BBB rating. 1.5 out of 5

It's a question of motivation. Clearly the motivation of at least two (now perhaps three) posters in this thread is simply to bash RTIC..

As a consumer, what do I care if RTIC doesn't treat their vendors nicely? I don't. Two years ago, some guy supposedly got the run around on shipping when ordering from them direct; How does that impact today? Especially for those buying the product from stores at retail..

Now you are making your first post just to decry the quality, because there are blemishes. If blemishes can save a consumer 50% or more, and they are happy about it, what do you care?

The fact is companies today know the value of social media and internet forums, and actually pay people to go out and make threads like this. The rest are people that are just really upset about their own issue.

So here's a serious question, are you going to be just another one-post visitor? And here is a really serious question 'coolerfan': Do you have a Yeti sticker on your F150?

One of my colleagues came in today with an Rtic tumbler swag-branded by the local TV station where his wife works. Found it interesting that they were giving away an Rtic rather than the extreme no-name "travel mugs" that usually become swag.

I feel the need to warn as many people as possible about this company's (RTIC Coolers) terrible customer service. I own an outdoors company and we are currently renovating & expanding our item availability. I wanted to carry YETI but they were currently not accepting new distributors so I found RTIC and they had a much cheaper rate... you get what you pay for when it comes to customer service! We were overcharged and then customer service ridicules you, speaks very condescendingly, threatens to hangup when you are discussing your issue, and does not make right or acknowledge the customer complaint at all. We were simply asking for a refund or a shipment of cups that would cover the over charge, to which we received nothing! They are right and the customer is always wrong, check the BBB where they have a rank of 1 of 5 stars. I tried to right a review on their website, however they quickly delete them to keep their 5 star rankings- luckily the BBB does not allow that! Please do your research! Now that you have all been warned, I will see what Expedition Portal has to offer. :)

A lot of people / companies are doing that around here, and using RTIC's as a less expensive alternative to the Yeti. Lots of places are powder coating them, or at least using outdoor vinyl to put logos and stuff on them.

I don't use those type of cups personally, but my wife has one and really likes it.

Coolerfan, you and adven girl should get together. With your hate of yeti coolers and love of F150's you all should have much to discuss. Plus she is probably doing well in life as she owns an "outdoors company"

Coolerfan just joined today as well! Welcome to the forum!

Besides the overwhelming desire to bad mouth RTIC did anything else bring you here? Where was the last trip you went on?
Maybe start out in the members introduction area to let us get to know you. That way we know where you're coming from in your review of RTIC as a brand.

lost on the mainland
the BBB for the most part is a joke ! and was back in the 80s when I had a retail store
its very easy for another company to sabotage another company on them

I rely as most do these days on forums etc.. and always throw out the top 3 and the bottom 3 and I feel you often get a good honest feel for a item over time

also to see if a issue happens how the company handles it responds etc..

whats funny is again these are HUGE fan boys of another cooler or work for them and sadly if anything folks like this make me look more negative on yeti as a company if this is happening with them knowing ?

RTIC items are all on sale if you are interested and showing shipping 12/21/16 currently. I purchased another one and already received a tracking label.

Yeah better not get one of these crappy coolers...mine only kept ice and cold drinks for a week. Kidding of course. My cooler worked as needed over a five day trip through Death Valley. Very happy.

I know that the RTIC website said that the coolers were out of stock for a long, long time due to production issues. So I was surprised around Thanksgiving by an email announcing a 25% off sale. I ordered a 20 and a 45 to replace a couple of beat up Coleman Extreme coolers. Both arrived within the week. Haven't exactly had hot weather to test them in. So far my only issue is the oily coating (mold release?) that I'm having a hard time cleaning off to appropriately be-sticker the coolers. I'll see how they work when it warms up.

Originally they weren't warehousing them. They shipped from their production location based upon sales. Now they have a TX and CA (at least) warehouse and have been able to decrease the shipping times. I am not sure about the sale but perhaps it was a way to get people to revisit their website and see that they were able to ship sooner than later.

I cleaned mine with laundry soap and it's now squeaky clean.
