Hello Adventurers,

I’m currently on 33x10.5 right now and thinking about going 12.5 with stock rims.

Still can’t decide which route to go with, any input or recommendations is always appreciated.

Thank you.

On Gen 2 rims, you're only at 7 inches wide. Some tire shops would not mount the 12.5s on a rim deemed too narrow by tire manufacturers.

What do you feel that the 12.50 width will do that the 10.50 can't? If you are one of those crazy people who think it's cool to hit every mud hole then a wider tire will help a little, but otherwise it's just more weight to slow you down and reduce fuel mpg's.

The reason I want to do 12 is because I want my tires to flush perfectly, right now with 10, they are flush in a bit. Just for stance/look more than anything else.

As far as MPG I stop caring since I bought this truck, also living in Texas, gas price never was a problem.

Add 1 or 2 inch spacers/adapters if you want them more flush, I'm looking into this soon myself.

Is it possible to add spacer just to the front two?

I also would not recommend running 12.5" tires on anything less than an 8" rim. And if you're going to get wheel spacers then make sure they don't take your wheel out of centric. So if the Gen 2's front two wheels are hub-centric (I think they are), then you'll want to get hub-centric wheel spacers. That could be more expensive than a set of used 16x8 wheels off of craigslist because I'm not sure if any companies stock them for our centerbores or if you'll have to have them custom made.
