edit for better content:
I have a 1988 BJ74 in Cali. After "exhaustive" work, the truck was placed on a BJ70 frame with CA frame and title. Phew... "lots" of work to do that.

EDIT: price reduced: $18,500 obo (price is pretty firmish)
EDIT: update picts: Picasa Web Albums - Brian - Updated_BJ74

Love having fun 😊 in the 🌞 by the ⛵ and the ⏳
No year listed, unusual. Same on your link.

Suspect this is maybe a grey registry as it was imported in Dec 2004 and it would have to be a 1979 model to qualify, BJ74 not built in 1979. What state was it imported into? What state is it currently registered to?

Not sure what makes it so rare, as there are plenty in Kanukistan.

it's rare because it made it into the U.S. You can buy this all day long in Canada (dang Canadians, you get JDM and better mountains). I know of three other BJ74's in the U.S. So... rare? you betcha, eh.

it's a 1988. It's registered on a 1985 BJ70 frame. How grey, you ask? Charcoal. (name that movie).

edit: yes: registered on CA plates. The only way to legally do this, is to put the entire truck on the BJ70 frame. Phew, that was a lot of work.

So is it a BJ74 wheelbase or a BJ70 wheelbase?

Andre: How big of a deal would it be to do a LHD conversion?

Coverting LHD could be done. Would be easy if you had a donor 70 series. Only thing i have left is the dash.

Most of the frame is still BJ74.

16 Years on ExPo. Whoa!!
Funny I get asked.. A big deal IMO but seriously Brian is the expert. It's a hell of a truck. I absolutely love BJ74s, I would love to own one... Especially when they are built. I tried to talk my wife into one when we still had the Quebec connection (no RHD JDM in Quebec, my dad lives in Montreal) but too much work to get it in...

Anyway, hell of a truck, good luck with the sale again Brian.. The price is also pretty awesome.

cheers, a
