There is one of these parked in a lot at SDSU here in San Diego ...

Here's a blast from the past! Our ExPo man "Basement Yeti" two posts above contacted me directly back in 2012 with a photo of the serial number plate of the rig he saw, but that was the only photo he got of it. From the cross street reference he had for that SDSU parking lot way back then, I could see via a GoogleMaps satellite view that the rig was repainted in some kind of monochrome gold or maybe a light maroon-ish tone, but that was the most I could make out.
However, some of my other GM squarebody enthusiast pals in the last few days alerted me to a combo of Instagram / Marketplace / Craigslist ads where I was thinking the rig in these days-old ads
might be the same one spotted back in 2012. The seller took - shall we politely describe it - massive exception to my FB Marketplace inquiry as to whether his was the same one as seen in the 2012 composite photo below (he only wants to sell it,
period), but it turns out he was a little more receptive to one of my other pals asking for the same basic info . . . and it turns out to be the very same rig.
I forget how far along I was in 2012 for my tracking of all of these in existence within my mega-spreadsheet, but right at the present day, I'm up to around 660 of the alleged 1,780 built. However, that's a series of spreadsheet entries I've been compiling since 2005, so there's bound to be some double or triple entries of photos / sales ad text / sightings over the years by me and my pals that are actually one-and-the-same rig. In this case, if the the seller had decided to never share the serial number plate photo with anyone at all, I would've ended up with two spreadsheet entries, the long-ago 2012 sighting and then this latest group of ads. It's a hobby, keeps me off the streets and out of trouble.
