Blitz "Jerry" can gaskets

Road Warriors,

I still have some viable metal "Jerry" cans made by Blitz. Unfortunately my gaskets have worn out and I can't find any except a couple questionable places on the web. Any help out there in cyber space?

I was able to find an o-ring that was close in size at my local Ace Hardware. Alternatively you could by some gasket sheet and cut out your own. McMaster-Carr (www.mcmaster.com) has a large selection of gaskets/o-rings too.

The thread size/gasket is the same on the new 5-gallon steel "environmental" cans.

Storg spare gaskets ina a ziplock bag to prevent oxidation and rot.

I make them with rubber and two sizes of hole saws, works for me. and CHEAP
