I just dumped off 720 lbs of rear axle parts at to metal recycling. One very old Dana 70 dual axle with massive brake drums and the center of two Sterling axles.
Let me know if you need any Sterling truck hubs or axles… I’ve kept them for the time being… I’m considering making an axle out of them. Surprisingly thick steel in a day and age when frames are getting thinner.

I’ve kept all the rear disc parts for a disc brake conversion when the current shoes wear out and the brake drums also need to be replaced.

I’ll be welding the flanges onto my Dana 70 axle housing and mounting the Sterling brake backing plates onto them.
I’ve not done a 4WD conversion, but have replaced everything under the front end of my e350… and replaced the frame and axles under my Fj40. So I have a very good idea how much hard work is involved.
Cheers
