Body Resting On Rock Sliders. Solutions?

My AP sliders were welded on, and the installer did not "clearance" the pinch welds. They would only make contact in certain situations, usually when loaded up and going down the road, but it was very annoying. I went after the contact areas with a dremel, grinder, cut off wheel, and a chisel. They look horrible, but I managed to get them done, and then hit them with some paint to prevent rust.
I'm not going to lie, there was a lot of cursing going on.

Ya, I figured I would nip it in the bud before it bothered me too much. A little grinding, a little sawzalling, and a lot of of my heavy *** jumping on them and they are off!

If the would had have 4 legs to support the truck better then I may have tried to clearance them. I am gonna build some and do it right this time!

Thanks to all of you for your inputs!

BTW, do I read somewhere that your Tacoma is supercharged and regeared?

Contemplating selling my supercharger to pay for gears. Also contemplating keeping the s/c and getting lower geared as well!

I'm regeared, to 4.88's, but not supercharged. I have thought about it, and it would be sweet, once it's dialed in. However, it seems that there is not a "one size fits all" for what makes a flawless supercharger set up. I look around for used setups, but I'm never fast enough to the punch to get the "good deal"

I'd try a single cut from the bottom of the legs 90% of the way to the top. Bend the sliders down and reweld at a 1" gap from the rocker panal.
