Bonnet Insulation or Dynamat???

So like most old Rovers my bonnet insulation is in pretty ruff shape, but I really don't want to loose the sound suppression on the Tdi. I have looked into ordering a new one but they are experiencing. Has anyone use Dynamat on there Bonnets? How well did it would with knocking out the sound. I was think for the same price as the genuine bonnet insulation I could get enough Dynamat to cover the hood and the roof under the headliner.

I used their hood kit on my D1, was very happy with the relative reduction in noise and the quality of the kit.

I should have added, when I did my headliner (somewhere buried in the Coyote build thread), I just used standard Home Depot foil style insulation + the bedliner on the headliner itself since I wasn't sticking with tan; worked extremely well and was a cheap solution with outsized returns.

I'd read one of the build threads in the Sprinter van section. There are several different materials to get the most for your purpose and it's not as simple as just the well known Dynamat. One person in a Tacoma thread used two layers of different materials. It would be worth some reading.
