I know there's nothing wrong with it but it just makes my skin crawl to see it in public. Can beer is a sin. Microbrewing will show you the way.

You put your beer in a can and that's it. You belong at the other end of the aisle. In the other cooler. You are beer of a lesser god.

Old Chub is my favorite camping beer with Fat Tire a close second.

I'd bring along a Sam Adams Triple Bock in a can though. But that stuff is rarer than hen's teeth, even in bottles.

Sam had his day.

lots of good microbreweries are putting it into cans now that the technology has changed and its a fact that UV rays ruin beer so can's make sense..

My beloved Kettlehouse Brewery from Missoula never bottles and only cans their beer, and as far as I'm concerned its the best there is. That said...I'll take that to some sort of event where bottled beverages are allowed long before I take Sam Adams.

Its nice to have a few choices to take camping or what have you, without having to lug glass around. My personal canned choice is...

Winner!! We have one of the local beer/wine specialty stores put on a beer and wine tasting event for our company once a year. I have been attending for 8 years now and have had some great (and not so great read: pumpkin-flavored) beer. He always passes along tech stuff too. One thing I remember him mentioning last year was teh UV thing with bottles and how some are going to cans now (which he happened to have one with).

I like several of the Sam Adams along with Leinenkugels but I too really like my IPAs. I have found a few here around Michigan I really like. Add to that there is a little microbrewery by where we go camping in the UP and they have a great IPA and taproom luckily!
