Bottle Jack

I just ordered one also (hope they are not out of stock).
I'll likely weld up something for a cradle/top pad, or modify an old floor jack pad... have to modify it/make a spacer, anyhow as it will not reach my frame stock (would work, with a pad, under an axle).

Enjoy!

When I ordered mine over the phone a few days ago, guy told me they had bought pallets of the $29 version, so stock should be good. FWIW, there is a movie prop lot in Orange County CA that is selling H1 jacks for $35. They rent a lot of vehicles for movie shoots and it sounds like they just have a pile of old jacks. I can post their number if anyone needs it.

Anybody figured out a non-destructive way to remove that top pin? My plan is to carry this jack for occasions when the truck is buried up to the axles, so I want it to be as short as possible when collapsed.

.040 cut off wheel and just cut the weld that holds the pin/assembly to the top of the jack. Quick rap with a hammer should pop it out. I just cut the pin off with said cut off wheel so I would have some meat to weld a new pad/cradle to.

My plan is to find some way to stabilize that top plate so it doesn't wobble. Then I need to increase the diameter of the pin by just a little so my Bogart safe jack cradles and extensions will sit on it solidly. Main use will be for lifting a tire/frame corner to level the camper.

Would love to see what you come up with to get the Bogart Safe Jack extensions to sit on it solidly.

DON'T buy the cheap ac delco ones. I got an oem from a ford super duty truck, 6 ton. Ebay is great place to find oem stuff.

I have found it absolutely essential (having a Power Wagon and working in the woods) to have a good bottle jack and a good Hi Lift at all times. I use the Bottle Jack to change a tire, and the Hi Lift for just about everything else.
