Thanks Darlip, guy at Best Buy was trying to tell me there was ;)
Very excited about this camera, and I have the T5i For Dummies book arriving today :D
Also picking up the Canon Ew73B lens hood for it.
I can tell already this is going to be an expensive hobby.

No worries, read the book and then sell it to the Best Buy guy ;)

Good idea.

Bought a tripod earlier and a lens hood.
Not super expensive, but gets good reviews, and it was under $50.
The one I have now is not smooth operating, and it was a cheap $20 one or less I got back in '89.

Also looking at external flashes as I have read they are lots better than the stock flip up one.
This one seems to be very good.
Not the cheapest Canon one, but puts out good light, and you can aim it, and use it wirelessly too off of the camera.

Also looked at more expensive tripods, but I will try the cheaper one I bought for awhile and see how I like it.
It is almost 1/4th the cost of this one, but the one below comes in many flavors too :D

Man for what I am spending on new camera equipment I could have bought another nice guitar :D
Do not really need another one at this time, and I was really in need of a good camera setup.

He he, yeah.
Well I may be selling the 18 - 55 mm that came with it since I have the 18 - 135 on there now.
My nephew who is into this hobby mentioned maybe getting a fixed lower mm one specifically for macros or other close up work.
Just got my new bag yesterday, and if this keeps up, will have to go bigger :D
Maybe I should have gone for that backpack I posted above...

The Dummies series of books is quite interesting.
They really break stuff down.

I picked up a f1.7 prime and it takes some wonderful pics.

It sure can be an expensive hobby but one awsome picture of the kids can make it all worth it. Hehe thats what I sold my wife.
