Branch lifters

As my camper is high up (11 1/2') and tends to direct branches between the truck cab and camper I am trying to find a way to mitigate this without increasing the overall height. There is alot of twist between the cab and camper and the camper is also considerably wider than the cab. What are you hard side camper owners doing?

Fasten something to the top of your cab to direct branches up and over...

Or maybe do the next guy a favor and take out your pole saw... (y)

I will probably build a light cage with a roof basket, just looking at options. For those of us in the Pacific Northwest, a trip into the backcountry with an 11'+ camper is an arborists nightmare. If only we had elephants and giraffes to trim the under canopy...

Just use a wire from your roof to the front of your camper. One wire on each side.

lookup "limb riser" for design ideas. Unless your vehicle flexes along the length, the twisting of the chassis won't change the length of a cable much more than a single spring can handle.
