Bringing home a big tree

I hope to trade the wife's nissan quest on a 2003 sequoia this weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed. It will darn near perfect for our needs, with a family of six and to dogs, we definitely need the space provided by a larger SUV, and as much as people like to hate on toyota loyalists, I buy them fr he same reason I buy Sony electronics. They ay no be he prettiest or flashiest, but they work, and they do so or a long time.

Would love too, but this one is in great condition, it's local, and at a reputable (as reputable as they get) dealership. Same guys that sold me my new tundra, and have been great with any of my issues. They have already quoted me a price that is lower than book, and comparables on autotrader and Craigslist. And it is in fantastic shape, only found one small ding on front passenger door, and some slight checking of the leather (better than most I have seen)

Here is a recent thread pertaining to the same thing. I love mine and call it the swiss army knife, not pretty but does the job everytime!

Here it is doing mule duty for us.

That is a very short thread, and one I have looked at many times. Love to see it all loaded up and ready to go. I think I am going to sell my trailer too, and replace it with something a little more useable (6 people require a lot of gear). That or I will finish fixing up the trailer so it is easier to use.

I've always liked the 1st gen Sequoias. The early models only had the 4 speed and the less powerful motor, but on the plus side they also had a floor-shift T-case and IMO better colors than the later ones.

In terms of overall shape and design they "echo" the 3rd gen 4runner a lot - similar proportions, just "super sized." :D

Agreed wholeheartedly and the 3rd Gen T4R is timeless! I pulled all of the badges off mine and with the exception of the massive tail lights, it has extremely similar lines.
