Brisbane Camping Show - All Terrain warriors Stand

On Saturday, my wife and I spent the day at the Brisbane Caravan and Camping show. We looked at all the stands and spent a long time with the guys at the All Terrain Warriors stand - John was really helpful showing us all the in's and out's of the vehicles, even though we told him first up that we were building our own Unimog so were not potential customers. We must have spent about half an hour looking at all the features and thing on their truck that I could use on mine.

The standard of finish is really high - something I want to achieve in my truck.

The coil spring kit for the Canter look good, realy well thought out - not quite Unimog suspension :) :victory: but I bet it's a whole lot better than the leaf spring version. The custom shock look great - it's a pity I have already bought a set of Koni's for my mog, or I would be looking at a set of these.

Here are some photos of the stand and the trucks: I have some more photos which I'll put up when I copy them across to my laptop.

Thanks for the photos. If these were US based, iw would surely have bought one. I love the platform and layout.

Please post sumore photos.
I bet John has a few to show us all too.

I wish. Hardly had 5 spare minutes the whole week. Unbelievably busy at our stand the whole time so I only got to see a couple of displays when I'd go over to the coffee tent nearby. I think about 6 or 7 ExPo members came over to say hi. Wow. Maybe we should start an Aussie ExPo chapter.

One thing that was cool about this show was the interest in Round The World travel. You'd be lucky to get one inquiry at any previous show. We were getting one an hour over the busier weekend. Amazing. Even had a MotoGP photographer wanting something to follow the European circuit and then spend the off season down in Africa. Uber cool.

Anyway I know Iain1250 took plenty of pics so I hope he or some of the others will post some more. I only took a couple just around our stand.

I don't normally give camper trailers a second glance but had to make an exception in this case. Something very special here. Made by a South African company that specializes in military gear and they've just set up an assembly plant in Brisbane to tackle our recreation market. So the guys here are tweaking the designs a little to suit. Top quality, very simple , and tough. What else do you need. Just look at the detail in these pics. Hope they don't start in trucks too.

BTW there were 43 camper trailer manufacturers at the show. 3 more than last year.

Hi Lance, How are ya?

That's it for me . Like I said I only saw about 5% of the show so I'm hoping some one else posts. Only had a couple more of us packing up . Earthcruiser was next door as you can see but that worked out really well for both of us. Fuso sent one of their salesman along for the whole show to help them out.

Haha. Sorry mate.

Well there used to be a guy near our factory a couple of years back with this van but haven't seen him around since. I was told he was back in production anyway and at the show with it. When I saw it way back when, it was basically like one of those little caravans in the pics but with a rear entry. Instead of the roof going up like a pop-top, the floor went down to the ground and you could roll a wheel chair straight in at ground level. All the benchs were on the floor of the van and when the floor in the aisle dropped down there was canvas sides to seal it off. Pretty simple and basic. Obviously it had independant suspension so the floor dropping didn't hit the axle.

Again sorry Lance, I just didn't get time to get around. I promised back at the last Brisbane Truck Show, I'd keep an eye out for any access gear so if I see anything cool I'll let you know. Loved the gear you had at OvEx BTW.

Kind regards
John
