Me too. I've had cars, motorcycles, and 4wd vehicles that have been built with the best of everything. At the end of the day, KISS.

I've done the build to wants thing before. You end up with a super heavy truck that drains all your money and time and makes no sense anywhere outside of an around the world trip. The more things you mess with, the more things there are to maintain. I was at the point where I was modifying the truck to make my other mods work. Then, I followed MTSN on Hell's Revenge at Cruise Moab and watched a very modestly built Land Cruiser go everywhere my "built to the hilt" truck went.

That was a super fun day! Wait what was that about tangents? :D

"petrified sand..." I had never heard that term before going to Moab.
Such an awesome place.
I had an '04 4Runner. It was only 2wd, but the brake lock differential control was stunningly effective on ice, and slick roads. Really liked that vehicle!
I can see why it's such a great 4wd vehicle.

So what is your next trip?

Not sure. I wanted to try to hit up Monache Meadows before the snow but it might already be too cold. Our Baja trip got ruined by the Baja 1000. So next up is probably Death Valley.

I'm hoping to get that way in December. Work my way north starting at Picacho State Park.
.
I've read about Monache Meadows. Sounds pretty awesome, and definitely on the list of places to see.

It's not the most exciting trail. But we went this same weekend last year. It got cold, but it was pretty empty, some snow on the ground and very scenic with highs in the 70s during the day.

I have a few Quick questions for ya...

One, how did you mount the drawer in the back? Just use the tie down bolts?

Two, How is the drawer working out for you? anything you don't like about it?

Lastly, Can you post up some info on how you installed your ham radio? I'm struggling with placement on mine, and was looking for some inspiration.

Thank you!!

Hey guys. I'm going to take down my Kokopelli pics and repost them. The trolls over on Wayalife freaked out on me when I suggested banning Northridge4x4.com for making JK experience videos was heavy handed. Now they're reposting all my posts and my pictures that I deleted before they banned me. I don't want them having any of my content. So I'm going to delete any images that were posted on both and repost here to give them a new URL.

Ugh, Google+ turned into google photos, removed all their great editing tools and doesn't let you delete images within albums. Not really into finding each picture within the original upload...

He bashes himself enough that I don't need to do it for him. But I'm amazed any brand or vendor wants anything to do with him and his crew. He'd be a PR nightmare for any real brands.

If you are not familiar with smugmug.com for hosting photos it works really well for photos on forums, and was developed by one of the members of ADVrider.com

Yeah. I used google+ after Flickr because google acquired Snapseeds web based image editing that was a lot fast to use than photoshop. I hear that it only worked on the chrome browser. That's why they made google photos. So hopefully they'll develop all the editing tools again.
