I'm still here! I hope to update this thread eventually, I just don't have time at the moment.
We live in a very dry climate. I occasionally spray it down with some WD40 and that's sufficient. It has rusted a little bit, but I don't really have a choice. I don't have space inside or under a roof for it.
We have been on the road full time for 6 weeks now. The build ended up taking us 2.5 months total to complete. We spend $20,000 in material. Life on the road has been great! Most of our time thus far has been skiing but we are looking forward to warmer temps and less snow so we can do some offroad exploring.
We have spent some extended amounts of time in below freezing temperatures, including multiple nights at -10F. The camper has held up extremely well. We have had a few water lines freeze, but nothing that couldn't be fixed with the blow drier.
The layout has been great for just the two of us and there really isn't much we would change.
Courtney put together a super condensed start to finished build video that you can check out here:
I have been following you on YouTube. Great build, I love the way you setup. If you ever go through Indiana , near Purdue University hit me up. Happy and safe travels.
Great build. I think I ran into you two at Overland expo in 2017.
I think in one of the videos (can’t find it again) there was a mention of the roof leaking, due to an issue but not a design problem. Can you describe what happened?
Really enjoying following along on YouTube but also being able to get some additional info via ExPo.
