Hey Whatcharterboat,
If you are still watching... how come ATW doesn't fit a suspension upgrade to the earlier NPS's?

I have just spotted a NPS 300, 2002 model on the cheap and thinking about going for a flight to look at it. I thought I couldn't afford one of those.

Might not be good to ask on a Canter thread, but can anyone tell me a bit about the NPS with the SiTec engines? Do they have a fair bit of pressure in the crank case normally?
Thanks,
Andrew

As I believe John (Whatcharterboat) said, you should speak with Jon at ATW about this.
I know that they have done parabolics on the 2002 NPS in the past, as my mate has this model.

No trouble,

Already phoned and spoke to Jon about all the Canter stuff, very informative and helpful... didn't want to keep calling him up to learn more and become a nuisance while I learn more until I actually end up purchasing a truck and can discuss that vehicle to depth.

Hi Andrew,

Yeah I'm still watching, Hahah.

The earlier NPS run a different spring length to the Canters and current NPS . The massive cost to develop a parabolic spring pack to suit a market as limited as the early NPS wasn't justified .....but as I said, Jon should be able to give you an update on all pricing and availability for specific models.

If you're talking about the crewcab NPS in Mundaring, then yeah, that looks VERY interesting. I even half considered that truck for myself but not quite ready ATM. Not sure if you understand quite how rare a twincab NPS is before 2008. It's only the second one I've ever heard of.

What do you mean by "pressure on the transfercase"?

Regards John.

Hey John,

When you say rare, I just thought that people held on to them and that is why there aren't many being sold LOL. So I guess you are saying spare parts would be at a premium and second hand hard to find? - rare, don't like that word!

Regarding pressure in the crank case, I am referring to taking the oil cap off and getting blow by... how much is too much? This is why the price is what it is, he mentioned that when he got the truck he put an after market turbo on it and ever since there has been blow by so engine must be a bit had it. I was thinking that if the turbo was miss-matched, not allowing enough exhaust flow, there would be a build up of pressure. Rings are about $2000 to get put in. I wouldn't know exactly until I got there, but wanted to know what to expect normally. There aren't any of these older models in my neck of the woods to check out and compair.
