Buying a UZJ100 with 160k, am I crazy?

The stats,

2002 UZJ100
160K miles
Full service records from Toyota dealership including scheduled maintenance and timing belt.
Asking $14,900

It has the Nav which I am not crazy about, is that easily swapped with a non nav unit assuming I could find one?

I'm weighing lower miles with no service records vs. higher miles with service records.

Opinions?

I love my 100 series but IMO; look around...I think you are paying too much for a 2002 with that many miles.

I'll have to agree. After posting this I did yet another comparison of the local options. I hadn't looked at the LX470s and that's a game changer, its a 50% larger pool to consider.

Good call...LX 470 is great! Not sure where you are located but watch out for rust too...I went with a LC 100 (99) because I wanted the rear locker. I am located in Utah and can keep an eye out for some if you are close...

I've decided to do most of my commuting on my bicycle now, so fuel mileage isnt the issue it was, but I am probably still going to buy a nice 100 series, and probably a 470, just for the nicer trim and sound deadening etc.

I bought my 80 in Utah, and I was blown away by the difference in pricing vs Texas. I was looking at some beat up 80's down here for top dollar. Sometimes it pays to consider other areas...

Yeah... Sort of high.... I bought my 2000 Hundy in 2005 for $16,000 with only 106K.

Also note on the Nav... If it has integrated HVAC, dont plan on changing out. I am not sure, but I dont think any one has figured out a way to successfully do it yet.

I would not hesitate on a truck with that many miles, at all. The only question is just the price, just get to where you want to be.

I purchased mine in LA and brought it back to Utah. Saved a fortune over the local market. I would definitely look a bit more national. Mileage hasn't ever bothered me in a vehicle, as long as it was well taken care of. Especially the LC100s. Their just getting broken in at that point.

Cheers,

Disregarding the price how many miles is to much for a used one 150+ 180+ just wondering folks experience with higher miles 100s.
