Cabin Heaters …

Hi guys,

Back from my first adventure to Norway and found I’m in need of night heating … I brought a 24v Webasto HL32 thinking I could modify it to run on 12v but apparently its not easy or cheap, it a bloody big thing - space is limited..

That had me thinking of gas heaters, I’m carrying a 15 ltr gas bottle and after 2 weeks of cooking still had plenty.. don’t fancy these little gas heaters using canisters …

As I’m someone who likes to go far with his money (tight) I was thinking about the good old LR Ambulance / winterized heaters..

So if anyone can recommend a compact built in gas heater.. or other ideas..

Cheers
Matt

My camper has a 5 gallon (20 ltr.) LPG tank. If I use it only for cooking, it lasts for months.
It also has a 12k BTU Suburban LPG heater. If I use that, the 5g tank runs dry in days.

A few people around here use these, and they are popular with the Westfalia crowd:

I have a HS2000 for my RTT and find it the perfect size for my needs. For a vehicle I might go the bigger heater next size up.
