After getting rid of my Land Cruiser

I have finally put some better springs, shocks, and tires under my Liberty

I've never owned a 4x4 that needed upgrading as bad as this thing

All I can say is night and day difference. It rides awesome on and off road with the OME heavy springs and Bilstein strut and shock combination.

I'm really happy with this vehicle now:)

We used to have one too... Man they ride like crap stock. Very rough ride. I think my lifted Rubicon was smoother.

Yours looks great though. The nice thing about the KJ is you can probably get one pretty cheap now a days. And a little modding can make it a nice camping vehicle.

Thanks all. If I owned Jeep, all the Liberty's would have come from the factory like this. It works much better off road now.

Future mods?

Rock rails - thinking Rock Lizard
Roof rack - I love the Bajarack
Fuel tank skid - coming soon
Transfercase skid - coming soon
4.10's - wishful thinking, maybe next tire change
Rear traction - Detroit TrueTrac perhaps

Bryan,

Good to hear from you again. I'm making may way back to SD in the near future. No rig currently, I'll have to work on that!

I've been working on a few things before my upcoming trip:

Home built hitch receiver

Gas tank skid plate

New radiator and hoses

SP Performance slotted rotors and Hawk pads

One of our club guys here has a modest lift and 31" MT's on a virtually identical one right down to your wheels and colour. He goes anywhere most of the TJ's and JK's go and he does so on heated leather seats.

We also have two stock ones at the office - yet another blue Limited and a Khaki Renegade. Both owners love them. Although I'm still cold to the newer styling, that panorama roof option would be sweet.

Well, I'm excited to be taking it on a 5 day trip next week. We will see how it does on more than an over night trip.
