Wiffleball Batter
Yes it has the 3.4, but the one I bought is an auto.
Im doing the plugs and wires, oil, air filter, transfer case, both diffs. I'm wondering if I should do anything to the trans. The previous owner was not aware that it had ever been serviced. Should I just drop the trans pan and clean it (change the filter if it has one) and replace the amount of fluid that drains out???? Or just leave it be???
On the 4th gen boards they always caution people not to flush a trans if it's over 100k without being flushed. Apparently that can push debris back into the transmission. AFAIK that advice applies to the A750 5 speed that's on all V8 4th gens and on the 2005-up V6 4th gens. This is a sealed transmission with no dipstick and "WS" (World Standard) "Lifetime" fluid.
I can tell you that my 3rd gen with the A340 4 speed (I'm assuming the same tranny your T100 has) I had flushed at about 125k when I had the auxiliary cooler put in and had no ill effects for the next 25k miles until I sold it.
Is the dipstick on yout T100 a real SOB to put back in? The one on my '99 T4R sure was.
