I have lots of 4x4 and with my work as an expat in Saudi Arabia i have very little time to drive them once i am in Lebanon.

This a limited edition 1996 Camel Trophy Discovery. I am the first owner and bought it in 1997 from the Dealership in Lebanon.

The truck has undegone high quality modifications with all kits purchased from the US. I used to live there for seven years before moving back.

Truck is on 36" IROKS tyres, ARB lockers with Toyota Drivetrain and 30 spline axles from Rovertracks, WARN M8274-50 and much more.
Truck rides very comfortably and smoothly even with the IROKS BIAS.

Pls e-mail me at jayfrem@gmail.com for quicker response.

$27,000

Shipping at buyer expense.

This is the real Camel Trophy sold by the dealership. The major different is that it did not come with the diesel engine and internal roll cage.

The truck had the Camel trophy roof rack but i sold it as it caused quite a bit of instability when off roading once truck was on 36.5" Tyres.

Thanks for looking,

So, this is an option package (color and accessories), sort of like an XD, from a dealership and not an actual CT truck? I didnt know one existed

The Roof Rack was an orignal Camel Trophy see pic below taken in 2002 before i took it off and started my 36" Tyres project. Of course i did add the 4Jerry Cans in the rear.
The snorkel still there is an original camel trophy.

The delaership sold 12 of this model in Lebanon between 1996-1997. I guess it is a more limited edition that the plain yellow XD.

If i had time to drive it more i would have never throught of selling it.
I have a 2006 Jeep here in Saudi and the comfort is nowhere near my Discovery. Plus the Discovery has good space to carry family /rear passengers and gears in the trunk.
AS you all know the achilles heal in Rovers in their drivetrain. Being upgraded to a Toyota 30 spline chromolly this set is bullet proof even under heavy use.

Wow, thats a pretty cool dealer option package I guess. We just got a lame XD version. Sounds like it was a purely dealership built vehicle by adding options at the dealer before sale.

Hate to break it to you but this is probably not the best place to advertise the truck. Most of us are in the US and we cannot legally import anything that young. If we could, thered be D1 diesels clogging the ports everywhere.

Good luck with the sale.

Hey Jay, very clean truck; might also want to post your sale on International Land Rover Forums.

Another idea for you: find a donor D1 parts, and return the vehicle back to stock and sell the mods e.g. HD axles, 3rd members.... locally. Atleast get some of you money back and be able to lower your sale price.

And even though it's not a Camel Trophy Discovery used in the event or purpose of the event e.g. scout vehicle, still novelty driving a theme vehicle like that. Perhaps not in the USA (I am not sure either if you can import that here legally in the USA) but other parts of the world might be more viable.

Good luck with the sale!

Thanks a lot Ronct110. Any international website you know of where i can get a fair price for my truck ?

I may end up keeping it if it does get a good price.

Countless hours at the shop working on this truck, finding parts and shipping them over.....you know the Disocvery not that the straight forward to put them on 36" with a low lift and bullet proof drivetrain I m talking 4 years ago where Land Rover after marketHD stuff was limited.
