Camp stove recommendations....looking for better efficiency

I'm looking for camp stove recommendations.

I recently used a Primus Profile for 3 1/2 days and used what I thought was a lot of fuel, about 2 & 1/3 small propane canisters for 5 meals (4 people) and boiling water 5 or 6 times.

Any recommendations on more efficient stoves would be appreciated.

thanks

Check your cookware as well, I got a Primus ETA pan and it noticeably reduced cooking times, I believe MSR do a similar pan with a heat exchanger, Primus claim a reduction of fuel consumption by a third.
I assume you are using wind shields around your stove as this helps a lot.

Partner Steel looks bulletproof, I'll check them out.

I was using a wind shield but I don't have a heat exchanger, probably worth a test.

For a trip of any length I need to get better efficiency than we've gotten so far or the truck will need to be jammed with small bottles of propane.

We use a Camp Chef 2-burner Everest stove. It works great, fine control of the flames. The best part? Each burner can put out 20,000 BTU! It's high-pressure and works excellent for boiling water and heating things very quickly. :)

The partner steel stoves look wonderful and extremely durable. I'd like to own one one day. The one drawback that I've read about them is if you get the burners wet, they wont light until you dry them out.

Partner Steel also sales a clear view propane tank that is awesome. I just started learning about Partner Steel Camping stuff because my store is going to start selling them in a couple days. They are awesome. I'm not just saying that because we sell them either. They are built right here in our town so I went and took a tour of the shop. they do good work. and everything is had crafted. Very cool stuff.

My 30 year old Coleman stove is still going strong and doesn't use too much propane. I keep looking at new ones but the old girl just keeps going and going.

Are you tied to cannister fuel? I'm a huge fan of liquid fuel. There is a bit of a learning curve compared to gas but once you get the knack of it not a problem.

I have a whisperlite international and a dragonfly by msr, both great stoves but something with more burners & stability was called for by my better half. I usually keep the dragonfly and a bottle of fuel in the truck as a back up.
