Camp vs Campground

I know this may sound like a very stupid question but I have to ask anyway. I'm looking for places to camp in the Garmin Topo Maps and I see that some of the spots are called "Camp" and some are called "Campground".

What's the difference ?

The National Park service makes a similar distinction with their "tent" symbols. As best as I can understand it, a "Campground" usually has specific spots designated for each tent. "Camping" usually refers to a primitive campground with dispersed camping.
