Thanks for the compliment. Yeah, it looks closer in the picture than it does in person. Right now it has a set of 2x8's that run the length of the bed. It probably wouldn't hurt to add some ply to that.

I don't expect to travel anything much more rough than forest service roads with this rig.

We took our new/used 8.5' Alaskan to the San Juans last week. It was enjoyable.

I was debating installing airbags but the truck handles the camper well with only minimal sag. I'm not sure what, if any, improvements would be worth the cost and complexity.

Nice set up, is that a 3/4 or 1 ton?

Finally picked up the new-to-me truck camper. I only used the ratchet straps because I had such a short distance to get it home and haven't decided what I want to go with. I'll need to build a short platform to put under it as the cab to camper clearance is a little tighter than I like. This one is a bit of a project so I hope to get it in the shop this winter.
