My intention with these builds is to slowly convert into a more off road overland rig. I started with a project car / daily driver VW GOLF 2.0L MK4. You'll see a little about my first real maiden voyage to Newfoundland with my V-dub on my blog. This year I purchased the truck and slide-in pop-up camper for around $2500 combined. I'm currently repairing the lift, address mechanical issues & preparing to remove the fridge. I may sell the truck eventually, keep the camper and eventually upgrade to a 4wd or AWD truck.

Hi all! Here is my recent acquisition: '16 F350 CCLB with a '17 Northstar 850SC. I am new to the truck camper and overland world so looking for some help/suggestions on upgrades (what, if anything, I should do to suspension, wheels, tires, etc). Looking to do an extended road trip and want to make her as good of an overland as I can. I know never be as off road/overland capable as a Jeep but want to be able to get to some decent out of the way places so looking forward to hearing those that are more experienced let me know opinions on must have upgrades to the just nice to haves. Thanks!
