canoe transport

I'm starting to look into the option of a trailer. Thinking about doing a small offroad trailer (maybe 4'x5' or 4'x6'). It would be able to hold all of our gear, and used with my F150 or Liberty. If I built a 4-5' tongue and have the wheels set back a little I figure that it would be decent enough to haul a canoe. Would still have quite a bit of overhang but I could just throw my set of flat tow lights onto the end.

I really need to invest in a welder.
